1. Office Management Secretary II (4 Posts)
What you’ll do:
- Type official letters, reports, and confidential documents
- Welcome and assist visitors, directing them where necessary
- Maintain schedules, appointments, and office records
- Locate and organize files and documents needed for daily tasks
- Distribute and collect files across departments
- Take meeting notes and prepare required materials
- Prepare supply requests for office needs
Who we’re looking for:
- Form IV or VI graduate
- Holder of a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution
- Must have passed shorthand typing (100 words per minute in both English and Swahili)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Publisher, and internet browsing
Salary Scale: Government Scale TGS C
2. Records Management Assistant II (2 Posts)
What you’ll do:
- Register incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Distribute and retrieve files within departments
- Organize documents into proper categories for record keeping
- File records neatly in cabinets or designated storage
- Keep track of file movement within the office
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Who we’re looking for:
- Form IV or VI graduate
- Holder of a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management or Archives from a recognized institution
- Basic computer skills are a must
Salary Scale: Government Scale TGS C
General Requirements for All Applicants
To be considered, you must:
- Be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18 to 45 (unless already employed in public service)
- Have a well-prepared CV with valid contact information and three trustworthy referees
- Attach certified copies of:
- Academic certificates (Form IV, VI, Diploma, etc.)
- Computer and professional certifications (if any)
- Birth certificate and National ID (or NIDA number)
- Include a signed application letter
- Foreign qualifications must be verified by NECTA, TCU, or NACTVET
- Avoid submitting result slips or testimonials—they won’t be accepted
- Applicants who are retired from public service cannot apply unless approved by the Chief Secretary
- Those already in entry-level government positions should not reapply
