The Executive Director of Tarime District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens for ten (10) job positions. These vacancies have been approved by the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance.
1. Office Management Secretary Grade II – (5 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Typing ordinary and confidential letters, reports, and documents.
- Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to the right office.
- Keeping records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting schedules, and official activities of the supervisor.
- Retrieving files and documents needed for office tasks.
- Receiving and distributing files to the appropriate department/section.
- Collecting, storing, and returning files and documents to the relevant offices.
- Preparing minutes and arranging meetings.
- Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Form IV or VI certificate.
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies (NTA Level 6).
- Must have passed shorthand typing in Kiswahili and English at 100 wpm.
- Must possess a Computer Certificate in Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and Publisher from a government-recognized institution.
Salary Scale: Government Salary Scale – TGS C
2. Driver Grade II – (5 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure safety.
- Driving staff to different destinations for official duties.
- Performing minor vehicle repairs.
- Collecting and delivering official documents.
- Recording all journeys in the logbook.
- Keeping the vehicle clean.
- Carrying out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Form IV certificate.
- Valid Class E or C driving license.
- At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing accidents.
- Certificate from VETA or any recognized institution in Basic Driving Course.
Salary Scale: Government Salary Scale – TGS B
