In 2012, UAUT received its Certificate of Full Registration (CFR) from the Tanzanian Commission for Universities, officially recognizing the institution as a Cluster 1 university.
This milestone allowed UAUT to open its doors with two colleges: the College of Business and Administration and the College of Engineering and Technology.
Each college offered bachelor’s degrees in their respective fields—Business Administration after three years of study and Computer Engineering and IT after four years.
